Effective Date: September 26, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of PassPlayer and the PassPlayer website.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PassPlayer, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PassPlayer.
1. PassPlayer
PassPlayer is a software media player designed for playback of compatible media on supported devices.
PassPlayer may allow you to play:
- media stored on your device;
- media available from local-network storage that you configure;
- compatible media URLs you provide; and
- media made available through independently operated compatible external sources.
PassPlayer does not itself grant you rights to any media you choose to play.
2. Your Media and Sources
You are responsible for the media files, network sources, URLs, credentials, and external services you choose to use with PassPlayer.
You must have the necessary rights or permission to access and play media through PassPlayer.
PassPlayer does not authorize access to content owned or controlled by third parties.
3. External Services
PassPlayer may interoperate with independently operated websites, servers, storage systems, or other compatible external services.
Those services are not operated by PassPlayer merely because they are technically compatible with the application.
Your relationship with an external service, including any account, authentication, access, payment, content license, availability, or privacy matter, is between you and the operator of that service.
Use of an external service may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies provided by that service.
4. No Hosted Content Service
PassPlayer is a media player and does not, as part of its core player functionality, operate a hosted catalog of third-party media for users.
PassPlayer does not claim ownership of media stored on your device, your local network, or an independently operated external source.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use PassPlayer only in accordance with applicable law.
You may not use PassPlayer to:
- access media without authorization;
- infringe copyright or other intellectual-property rights;
- circumvent access controls or security measures you are not authorized to bypass;
- interfere with or damage networks, systems, services, or devices;
- distribute malware or malicious code; or
- use the software in a manner prohibited by applicable law.
6. Intellectual Property
PassPlayer software, user interface, branding, graphics, and other original PassPlayer materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of PassPlayer or its intellectual property to you.
Third-party media, brands, services, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Software License
Subject to these Terms and applicable Store/platform rules, PassPlayer grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for its intended purpose on supported devices.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit PassPlayer except as permitted by applicable law or with authorization.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be restricted under applicable law.
8. Availability and Compatibility
PassPlayer is provided for supported hardware, operating systems, media formats, and network configurations.
Playback compatibility may depend on factors outside PassPlayer's control, including:
- media encoding;
- network conditions;
- storage-server configuration;
- device capabilities;
- third-party service availability; and
- operating-system or platform updates.
PassPlayer does not guarantee that every media file, server, URL, codec, or third-party source will be compatible.
9. Local and Network Sources
PassPlayer may allow access to local files and user-configured network sources such as SMB or WebDAV.
You are responsible for configuring and securing your own storage devices, network shares, passwords, and network environment.
PassPlayer is not responsible for the availability, security, configuration, or integrity of storage systems you operate or choose to connect.
10. External Content and Services
PassPlayer does not control independently operated external services or their content.
PassPlayer does not guarantee:
- availability of external services;
- accuracy or legality of third-party content;
- continued compatibility with a third-party source;
- security or privacy practices of external operators; or
- continued access to content provided by an external service.
External-service disputes should generally be addressed to the operator of that service.
11. Updates
PassPlayer may receive updates that add, modify, improve, or remove functionality.
Updates may be necessary to maintain compatibility with operating systems, hardware, security requirements, or media standards.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PassPlayer is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
No guarantee is made that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every file or service, or available on every device or platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PassPlayer will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of or inability to use the software.
PassPlayer is not responsible for loss caused by:
- third-party media or services;
- user-controlled storage or network systems;
- unauthorized use of third-party content;
- loss or corruption of files outside PassPlayer's control; or
- interruption or modification of independently operated services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Privacy
Use of PassPlayer is also subject to the PassPlayer Privacy Policy:

15. Meta Quest and Third-Party Platforms
PassPlayer may be distributed through Meta Horizon Store or other authorized channels.
Your use of the underlying device, Store, or operating system may also be subject to agreements between you and the applicable platform provider.
PassPlayer's Terms do not replace those agreements.
